Lost & Found ....

It's been a while..... I've been sick and tied up doing other things, but today I thought I would get back to blogging because we only have 94 days left until the wedding. I've been sooo lost. Unsure of linens and changing decor. I have been a mess. My Coordinator at the Country Club says I am right on it, but I can't help but think I am not. Maybe this will help me find my way so to speak. Plus, I missed talking to my viewers. So you ready???

I've done a lot over the last two months. I recently gave up the dream of doing my own invitations when my printer decided it didn't want to feed the paper correctly. I just couldn't do it. I have so many other things to do, but to worry about some invitations. So I ordered them from David's Bridal. Some of you may have seen my review I posted a few weeks ago.

I am in love with our invites. I decided not to give away our colors and went with a basic black and white invite. With a vintage look and a damask envelope lining. They are sooo gorgeous.  Plus I helped out my consultant at David's Bridal with a little commission. Just trying to spread the love.

Anyway, while I was going through the drama about the invites I decided to change my decor. LOL. I went from off white or beige to white long table linens with yellow and white chairs. To apple runners and back to the gold chairs. Yup. I went mad.

The idea is something like this, without the chair covers and bows.

After seeing the linen preview at the food tasting, which was marvelous by the way. I decided the room needed to be brighten up a bit. Natalie, the Event Director (Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, Ca ) help me transform my idea a bit and save me some money at the same time. I tell you she's magical. She's a Rock Star.

Then instead of using gold frames for the table numbers to match the chiavari chairs as we decided. I saw some cool wood numbers and a base at Micheal's. I grabbed some Gold Acrylic paint and some paint brushes. Went home and got my glue gun.

And put these together:

I had so much fun doing them. It was a great way to release stress. I felt so empowered after doing them.

Oh and did I tell you that the tables won't be numbered 1 - 20. They are going to be numbers that are important to us. So I've compiled 18 table numbers. Like 7, and next to the number will be a little description like this... "The month of the Bride's Birthday." Or 12, The month of the Groom's Birthday." This way our guest will roam from table to table to see what numbers and what they mean. Great way to start a conversation!!!

I don't want to share all the details, just so there is some element of surprise. But from time to time, I will share a few ideas with you. Maybe it will help the next bride. I see all the blogs out there and maybe just maybe one day I can transform this into a business. It's something I have the passion for. I know I can make another budget bride's dreams come true. It doesn't take much if your creative enough to think outside the box. Maybe I can be the next David Tutera. Hmmm ... well you never know.

Found..... I just got an idea from just writing this blog. Can't wait to share it!!

But until then, maybe next time I blog, which will hopefully be tomorrow I will talk about the whimsical idea that we are using in our wedding that was popular in 2011......

PINWHEELS .....

But I've thrown a little twist to it.

Be Well. Be Sweet.

Sweet Talk & Love
