Mr. & Mrs.

WE DID IT!!!!

I am absolutely tickled pink. We are now Mr. & Mrs. LeVell McClain, III. I can not tell you the joy we feel. We are over the moon. Our day could not have been any better than what it was. We had a few things happen but it all came to a beautiful beginning. That's right a new beginning!

I have so much to share. The things and the projects I ended before they actually started. Yes, you have no idea. LeVell has seen it all. He was just amazed as I was to see it all come together. It was well worth it.
So my first word of advice is to take your time and don't jump at the first thing you see. Think about it. I am serious!! Think about it and always go with your first mind!!

Now what shall I talk about first......

I know there are a lot of Brides and Grooms alike that are lost. They have not a clue where to start. A good point is decide how many you want to invite. Once you do this and play with the numbers, reality sets in and you begin to realize what you can actually afford. If it's a destination wedding or a church wedding. It all cost and figuring out what the cost might be may keep you sane. I know it did for me. Having some kind of idea of what to expect, was better than not knowing.

Picking the Venue.
The Lakewood Country Club
This was not my first choice. I wanted to try a different location, but with the size and the type of wedding I had in mind. I knew this was the best place to have it.

Their packages include the cake, their own cater and there is also linens vendor. Of course depending on which package you get, there are things that will cost more. Keeping it within what is offered you will keep cost down. Sundays and Fridays are definitely cheaper. Especially if they are around a holiday. If you do choose a date around a holiday, make sure you give people enough notice. 12 to 10 months is pretty a pretty good length of time.

And work with the coordinators at the venue. I know working with the girls at the country club made my life a whole easier. I had some days when I felt crazy and just talking it over with Natalie would always calm me down. It was great to have someone there to help the craziness.

We had our Family Breakfast in one of their other rooms before rehearsal. It was nice for 30 people. I've seen all kinds of events at the Country Club. Kid Birthday Parties, Baby Showers, Graduation Parties...
It really is a nice venue and it doesn't get used often.

If you're local and want to have an event in mind and want to talk it over, contact Lakewood Country Club for an event email : privateeventdirector@lakewoodgolf.net Or call Natalie Sauer, Private Event Director 562-421-0550 x2

Tell them Stacy McClain sent you.

Tomorrow will make our 7th day... ONE WHOLE WEEK as Husband and Wife. To celebrate I will continue my sharing. I have plenty to tell you. The next vendor I will post about is the CAKE! Yum!!

Sweet, Talk & Love
