Marriage, Celebration, Loss & 3 Month Anniversary!!!

July 26th - Las Vegas Mini-Moon
& 90th Bday Celebration for Granny

The end of July and the Month of August really sent us on a world wind of emotions. Since being married we've endured some crazy times. I can only give credit to God! If it wasn't for our father up above I don't know if we would have made it. Thank God.

Where do I start?



Well we made the 2 month mark.. Hee Hee. Marriage has been a fun and hard all at the same time. Don't get me wrong I love being married, but sometimes it's sacrificing and meeting in the middle. We often want to insert ourselves into the other person, but you can't do that. Everyone has a different view of things. The point is you have to be calm and actually listen to your partner. There just not here. The actually have opinions too. LOL .. Who knew!!!

July 25 -28th we were able to escape LA to the inferno know as Las Vegas. We had some obsticles thrown in our way, but together we talked it out, prayed and made it work!!! Before we knew it we were outta Los Angeles. This was our first road trip together. We had a great time talking, laughing and seeing the sites. It was a great time for us. Little did we know Vegas was CRAZY HOT! It was 113 when we got there. We were sooo drained. We tried to make the best of it. Even got out in the evening to walk the strip. TOO HOT! We couldn't do it. So we retreated back to the nice cool room. Yeah people said we were boring and we didn't enjoy Vegas.. OH WELL! We made the best of it. We didn't really make any plans, we just left LA. LOL So we agreed that next time we will make some plans at a cooler time of the year. The truth was we were miserable and by Saturday , we were ready to go back home!!! LOL  If the party ended early, we would have been outro. 

Granny is 90!!!! 

Granny had a great time. We all had a good time. 

Thank God for the blessing of having Granny around for 90 years! What a Blessing. You never know what life will bring you. So it's important to live and tell people you love them. 

Stop worrying so much. Life is going to throw you curve balls all the time. It's how we handle them that's important. Get up and LIVE your life. Stress will take you outta here. 

Daphne L. Booker - Estes

When we got back from Vegas we didn't know what God was about to put us in. On July 30th LeVell's Mama had a heart attack. On July 31st they rushed her into by-pass surgery. Mama Dap was a strong woman. God held her hand and guided the surgeon and she came out with a second chance at life. Mama Dap wanted to be home and on Sunday, Aug 4th the hospital released her. Some say it was too early, but God knew what he was doing. On Wednesday, August 7th at 2:00 am we got the call, Mama Dap was no longer with us. God had dispatched his Angel and took her home. We couldn't believe it. We're still in shock. No one understands why God does the things he does, but I am not going to question his decisions.

Wednesday was a tough day. Thursday was even tougher. Friday, August 16th we had a wonderful service for her. Great memories. I met some new family members and created some new friendships. It was a tough couple of weeks, but made it through it. Each day she will be in our thoughts and each day it will get a little better. But we know she's in a better place. She's dancing on the clouds of heaven, listening to her favorite music and watching over us.

We love you Mama Dap. Thank you for allowing me to watch over one of your most precious creations, your son!

The Niece & I .. can't believe she's not 2 anymore!!

Before we said our final Good-Byes we took our Niece to the  OC Fair! We soooo needed the distraction. We had sooo much fun. Ate a Bacon Maple Doughnut, road on some rides and walked around like lost children. It was a good time. We're even thinking about going to the LA County Fair if we can. It was just a good time with two of my favorite people.

Today we're taking all the kids from the wedding party to Incredible John's Pizza. This is our Thank You to them for participating. We didn't get wedding gifts for them because we didn't know what to get them all. So we decided at the right time we would take them out. Well it's here! And we're kinda excited!

And as I was writing this I happen to look at the date... OMG It's been 3 months!! HAHA what a way to keep the party going.

Next stop.. FUN CITY!!!
