It's the small things.....

We always think it's the BIG things that matter and as I go through this wedding process and life. I know it's the little details that are more important then you think.

I stare at our Christmas tree and yes its small, but it's just right for us. We have no need for a GIANT tree. If you have a giant tree don't get mad. I am not talking about you. Not at all. I think in life we tend to believe that everything should be LARGE and bigger than life.

Take your plate of food. We think that we will be full if we eat in large quantities. When in actuality if we fill our plates with the right thing we will get full as we eat them.

So as I've learned with life and planing this wedding. We are not David Tutera or other wedding planners where they are known for their brilliant, grand ideas and transforms a wedding into an event. We don't have the cash flow for that. So you have to learn to take the idea you have and create something grand with it. Just one little detail, something small would make others smile. Don't be afraid to be creative with your ideas. Don't be a cookie cutter Bride. And if you do, that's fine too. I am just saying make sure you put you and your fiance in the details. No matter what your first wedding will always be your first. You will remember it forever. If it was good or if it was bad. No matter what. You'll remember.

The same goes for anything you plan. You're going to remember if Susie like the snow cone machine with bubble gum flavor or the detail on a cake you had the bakery make for your niece's 5th birthday party. Yeah, that was mine. The cake I had them make for her party was fantasic. Everyone still talks about it til this day.

The cake.  Rossmoor Pastries in Signal Hill, California. They will also be doing our cake for the wedding. This was 5 years ago. My niece wanted a princess party, so I thought lets get her a castle for a cake. When they brought it out for me to see I almost cried. The cake was absolutely beautiful.
We talk about this cake often.
It was such a nice cake.
The baker did more than I expected.

So you can do the same thing with everything you do in life. Remember the small things. Even with Christmas. Sometimes if we stop to notice the little things maybe buying gifts wouldn't be such a big deal.

I can not press more that there are more things in this world that are more important.
LIVE each day and do the things you LOVE. Tomorrow is never promised.

Sweet Talk & Love
