No Big Macs, Please!

I've been trying my hardest not to create a Ronald McDonald's Wedding
out of our wonderful colors. I've gone out of my way to make sure of it.
Every single detail has a connection with each other.
Cause I've seen some crazy stuff searching the internet.

You're wondering how
I came up with those colors.
My inspiration - Indian weddings.
The colorful Sari.
The beauty.
Reds & Golds....

Who could not love such beauty. But if I told my parents I wanted an Indian inspired wedding I am sure they would have looked at me like I was crazy. I decided I would just make it our own. My fiance loves Red and I love Yellow! I could make it work. I know I could. Then the family got wind of it and you should have seen the looks on their faces. They were confused.Oh well.
So much for that.

I looked at all the pictures to see where I was going with this color combo. I didn't want the the typical RED wedding and yellow as the accent. My mom sooo tried to get me to go there. But I wasn't going for it.

She wanted this. Now don't get me wrong I am sure this particular bride got exactly what she wanted. This is just not what I wanted. I love yellow just as much as my fiance loves red and I wasn't going to just let it play second fiddle. Nope. My yellow had to be equally important.

But we needed a balance.
I didn't want this ----------------->
An occasion for
Ronald McDonald himself.
Not an Izzy Bear & Sweets  production (our nicknames).
Moving on.

Then the search got even better.
A great inspiration board.
Well balanced.

Then I found this lovely picture. Very Pretty. Simple and Elegant.

Now how do I get it without costing use our life savings?
I didn't know how to put it together or if my idea was on the right track. I finally got to speak with the linen vendor at the country club. By the way my have I told you the importance of having a great relationship with your Event Coordinators at your venues. Trust me it pays off (I need to blog about that next). Anyway, the linen vendor, was sweet as pie. She saw my vision and got it immediately.

The picture to the right the closest I could get to what
we created.

Now imagine....
Gold Chiavari chairs dressed with beige Japanese Organza sashes as bows (on the left). The table cloth has a rose damask

Yes, the table colors will all be beige. Including the napkins. The wedding colors will be picked up in the flowers. Similar to the ones above.

Plus we will add a little light with candles.

Can you see it???

Stunning.
Romantic.
Simple.

I LIKE.

I can't wait....

Sweet Talk & Love
