Uggghhhhhh I just want to move into 2013,
without all the drama. How about you?

2012 is gone. We've elected the President. Some aren't too happy about that. Others are over the moon. Now we've got this Fiscal Cliff hanging over our heads. Man, politicians really know how to kill a New Year Celebration... So I say let them worry about the drama and let the celebration began.  

I've had a lot to reflect over the last few days. Life, Love, Health and everything weddings. We've had some good thing to be thankful about. Lots of things to celebrate. LeVell finished his Medical Billing course in November. He graduated with honors. Such an accomplishment for him. I can't wait to see what he tackles next. 

We can't forget the 25 pounds I lost in October. I am up to 30 now. I've got 30 more to go in 5 months. I know I can do it. I did this in less than 3 months. I know going into the new year I have to be more disciplined. I know I can do it. Since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in September I know that losing the extra weight is going to help me with this disease. I will not let it defined me or will I let it become me. Matter of fact, losing the weight was to my advantage. I wanted to lose weight for the wedding and this just gave me the motivation. My health is important and I will do what is necessary to keep myself healthy. But I will be having cake at the celebration/reception ...LOL   

I got to eat popcorn again. The braces came off. I was so excited. I couldn't wait.
I went directly to Target, got me a bag and went to town. It had been two years and man it was better than I remember it was. ROFL. It was really good. 

This year I planned my very first Habitat for Humanity Build for my job. It was such a joy to do. I really loved it and I can't wait to do it again in October 2013. Thank God it's in October. Because I don't think I could plan that on top of the wedding.Can you say OVERWHELMED...   

My Babe got to spend some time with his boys before Christmas. Not his boy, but his Nephews & God Son. It was a fun weekend. A smelly one, but a fun weekend for them and us. Despite the thieves that tried to take our money in our bank account. We won't be ordering Papa Johns ever again. Someone isn't very honest over there.

and to end out the weekend, Babe and I celebrated his birthday (12/29) with a movie (Django) and dinner (Super Mex) with a few friends. It's been a good 2012. I am excited to see it go and get this 2013 started. I have never been so happy in my life. Except when my niece was born. But that's a different feeling. It's really true what they say. Love changes everything.

 In 2013 I say make one resolution and one resolution only BE EXTREMELY HAPPY. Leave the drama and move towards happiness. Life is too short to not appreciate what we have today. No one ever knows what the next day will bring, so LIVE IT UP!!! Enjoy yourself and leave the past behind you. Happy New Year from LeVell and I. Be safe out there. Don't drink and drive.
